Workshop Program

Erlenwerk Studio Dresden
June 15–18, 2026

Join us in Dresden at the inspiring Erlenwerk studio, where Paper Lab Berlin will host a four-day workshop program alongside Ana Pireva, as our gracious studio host.

I, Guy Lougashi, will lead both the Foundations (June 15–16) and Advanced (June 17–18) workshops, bringing the Paper Lab Berlin methodologygrounded in sculptural papermaking, mold making, and material casting into this collaborative setting.

In these workshops, we will focus on deepening your technical vocabulary: from preparing pulp for sculptural work to crafting molds and casting detailed forms.

Erlenwerk’s rich creative atmosphere offers the perfect place to slow down, observe, and experiment, while Paper Lab Berlin’s structured approach ensures that every participant leaves with a confident, practical grasp of these techniques.

About

Erlenwerk Studio

Nestled in the vibrant Hechtviertel district of Dresden, is a dynamic hub for traditional print, paper, and book arts. Founded in 2024 by Ana Pireva, Käthe Weinmann and Sarah Steuer, the studio is built from a deep history of collaboration and experimentation in lithography and papermaking. With a full range of presses, stones, and papermaking tools, Erlenwerk offers a tactile, thoughtfully designed space where traditional craft is actively practiced and reimagined. It is not just a workspace, but a living laboratory where artists, materials, and ideas come together in a spirit of curiosity and shared exploration.

Erlenwerk Studio itself is an embodiment of craftsmanship and collaboration, and I’m honored to be joined by Ana Pireva as my assistant for this workshop. Ana, a co-founder of Erlenwerk, brings a wealth of expertise from her fine art background—particularly in drawing, printmaking, and papermaking. Her deep understanding of material, combined with her professional presence, will enrich every step of the process. With Ana’s support, we’ll create a dynamic and attentive learning environment, where each participant’s curiosity is met with skilled guidance and a shared passion for discovery.
