Living between several countries and continents, in the labyrinthine displacements of my nomadic life, I have been capturing impressions on the road, whether by train, car or plane. Simple note-taking during this suspended time of travelling has gradually developed into a body of studies and a parenthesis between two places has become moments of intense work on the motif, on the journeys themselves fixing the fleeting moment that is no more and yet existed.

I capture aerial views, fragments of landscape I see down below – the contours of reality – appearing and disappearing in the slow or fast movement of the plane. Ready-made compositions impose themselves on my gaze, my sensibility, and it's important for me to retain them, extract them, free them, expose them in their nakedness, outside their context, the better to seize them, carry them with me and to melt into this encounter.

My work takes the form of cycles (series) based on encounters with these territories, moments or on works of other artists, poets or musicians.

Czech and French, I work between Tavira, Brussels and Prague. Trained as an architect, visual artist and musician, I paint, draw, photograph, print, sculpt, embroider, write and sing. I held solo & group exhibitions, musical & poetry performances in Europe and beyond and am represented in private and public collections in many countries. Member of the APF – Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic, since 2016 member of the printmaking Studio OBS – Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos in Tavira.
