Workshops Tour Across the Americas

Spring-Summer 2024

Embark on a journey with Paper Lab in 2024! Led by Guy Lougashi, our tour is a celebration of creativity and exploration in the Americas. Join us in Costa Rica, Mexico, USA, and Canada for an immersive experience where paper transforms into a living, breathing medium. This journey is an invitation to unravel the boundless possibilities within this seemingly ordinary material. Let's co-create an inspiring experience that honors the allure of simplicity through the science of paper as a medium and concept.

At each stop of our 2024 Americas tour, Paper Lab will unfold a trio of captivating workshops. Dive into the artistry of paper with our "3D Paper Making & Casting - Foundations" workshop, where you'll master the fundamental techniques of this groundbreaking approach. For those seeking an advanced exploration, join us for the "3D Paper Making & Casting - Advanced" session, where the possibilities with paper become even more limitless. Additionally, immerse yourself in the artful narrative weaving of our "Sewing Machine Lab" workshop—a unique exploration where the delicate dance of a sewing machine intertwines with paper, creating an extraordinary paper-oriented experience inspired by Guy Lougashi's personal journey. To accommodate a wide range of participants, we offer both daytime and afternoon sessions for each workshop.

For each destination on our 2024 Americas tour, we're excited to present a unique opportunity called "Paper Talk." Two weeks before closing registration for our workshops, we host engaging online video meetings where we invite enthusiasts and curious minds alike. The "Paper Talk" sessions are interactive forums where participants can connect with Guy Lougashi and the Paper Lab team, gaining insights into the upcoming workshops, discussing the art and science of paper, and exploring the boundless possibilities within this versatile medium. It's a chance to build anticipation, share ideas, and foster a sense of community before embarking on the immersive paper-oriented experience awaiting them at each tour stop.

To streamline the registration process for our workshops, we've implemented a versatile form for each session. This form serves as both a waiting list and a sign-up sheet. Whether you're contemplating participation, have specific questions, or are ready to secure your spot, simply fill out the form. We encourage everyone to provide complete information. Due to the popularity of our workshops, spaces tend to fill up quickly. If you haven't heard back within 24 hours, please check your junk mail to ensure you don't miss any important updates. This showcase, known as "Self Topography on Paper," curated by the Paper Lab team, provides a platform for individuals to present the innovative pieces they've developed through experimentation during the workshop sessions.
